Solidaritas Gereja di Tengah Dinamika Politik: Membaca Gagasan Etis-Politis Dietrich Bonhoeffer dalam Konteks Politik Indonesia

This paper is a contribution of thought for the church to actively engage in real theological endeavors in the context of a constantly changing society. The context referred to in this paper is the political situation, which is currently at a point of tension due to perceived policies that sacrifice the community. This awareness naturally arises from a rejection of the notion of "master morality," which has the potential to prioritize personal ego for personal gain. Therefore, the church must be present and involved in demonstrating its prophetic voice. One approach offered in this church's task is to propose the concept of "Becoming a Church for Others" as a direction for the church to determine its ministry position. To complete this paper, the author used qualitative research methods, specifically a literature study approach relevant to the topic discussed. Through the ideas that Bonhoeffer offers about the position of the state and the church, this article aims to emphasize that the church can be a counter-force to a state or government that acts tyrannically.
